Recently, I have had an opportunity to take some great classes with some of the most talented artist around the nation. I am going to spend some of my next post sharing some of these classes.
Several years ago, early in my awakening to art is when I met Julie Haymaker for the first time in Portland, Oregon at Art & Soul. Such a beautiful soul & talented artist. She has since developed an art technique for shrinking plastic to make jewelry. Basically, it is simply using Shrinky Dink paper. Taking this technique and mixing with metal was one of the classes that I took.
And I want to add this class was at Paper Crown in Oklahoma City, the best shop of its kind in the nation. If you are ever in Oklahoma City...its a must see!
Re-discovering my natural creativity has allowed me to look inward, enabling me to filter my world from my emotions and perceptions. This is who I am now. My art consist of vintage assemblage from my collectable vintage lace & paper. I love decorating my home, gardening, journaling, traveling and working in my art studio. Most importantly is making time for my family and friends, that make my life good.
